Nose: There is soft sherry notes with only a whiff of sulphur. There is some sultanas, cherry syrup, a touch of cumin, a little nutmeg and toasted oak.
Palate: Surprisingly viscous, and meatier and more sulphury than the nose suggests – still within acceptable boundaries though. Hints of dried fruits, plenty of spice, as well as a whiff of hazelnuts.
Finish: Long lingering spice.
