Nose: Delicately fruity, ripe melons and apricots, then a layer of soft aromatic herbs, then a little heather, honey and maple syrup.

Palate: Heavy on the oak and old herbal notes, saps, cordials, and medicines and cinnamon. 

Finish: Long, spicy, tense and tart, with some kinds of resinous lemons lingering.
