Nose: Madeira wine with marzipan and milk chocolate, moderately sherried, some eucalyptus and sandal wood, surprisingly fresh and fruity considering the 42 years.
Palate: Rather oaky to start, dry, sherried and spicy, it changes and becomes beautifully light with additional caramel, oranges, complex spices and hints of eucalyptus.
Finish: Long, pleasant and warming, the spices linger on and on.
